You'll be Thrive's first dedicated DevOps Engineer. You'll assess what exists, decide what matters, and build a production-grade, secure, and automated platform from the ground up. You'll work alongside a Staff Engineer and Solution Architect with deep infrastructure opinions — but DevOps decisions are yours to make. You'll have direct access to engineering leadership and a genuine relationship with the team, not a ticket queue.

You'll be the person who shapes how Thrive's AWS environment grows. That means setting standards, documenting decisions, and building something the engineering team can actually rely on — not just for today, but as the company scales.

There's existing CI in place, and your job is to make it better. You'll assess what's worth keeping, improve what's not, and build toward a release process that's fast, reliable, and low-drama for everyone on the team.

You'll own how Thrive detects, responds to, and learns from incidents. That means putting the right observability tooling in place and building on-call processes that are sustainable — not just reactive.

Thrive already operates in high-compliance environments with SOC 2, GDPR, and other programs in place. You'll be the technical implementer who helps those programs grow — translating compliance requirements into infrastructure reality and making sure the foundation keeps pace as the business evolves.

Beyond the technical work, you'll help shape what DevOps looks like at Thrive — the playbooks, the norms, the way engineering teams interact with infrastructure. You'll have real influence over how this function grows.
